Risk Taking

WALT: Take risks & step outside our comfort zone.

TASK:
Create a motivational poster with my own quote to inspire others to take risks.

Every Thursday Suzanne teaches us. We have been learning to take risks and we made a poster to show other people what risk taking is. My poster is about not being afraid to do things and to just do it anyway. My picture shows a boy bungee jumping because it could make some people really nervous because they are afraid of jumping. It shows that even though risk taking can make you scared, just do it because you might learn something new or have a new experience.

Koru Art

WALT: Use symbols
(to represent something special to us)

Our process: - What we did

  1. We looked at pictures of koru shapes
  2. We had a go at drawing koru shapes in different sizes
  3. We planned how our art was going to look.
  4. We had to explain our art to our buddy
  5. We used chalk pastel to outline
  6. Then we used oil pastels to colour in the koru patterns.
  7. We made sure all the 'mouse holes' were filled in.
  8. We filled the outline with white pastel
  9. Lastly, we did a dye wash in black.
  10. We used a tissue to wipe off the extra dye.
my mum my brother and me are in my art.
