Koru Art
WALT: Use symbols
(to represent something special to us)Our process: - What we did
- We looked at pictures of koru shapes
- We had a go at drawing koru shapes in different sizes
- We planned how our art was going to look.
- We had to explain our art to our buddy
- We used chalk pastel to outline
- Then we used oil pastels to colour in the koru patterns.
- We made sure all the 'mouse holes' were filled in.
- We filled the outline with white pastel
- Lastly, we did a dye wash in black.
- We used a tissue to wipe off the extra dye.
